Concierge-Style Eye Care

In 2020, Dr. Monte felt a calling. Eye care was considered non-essential—yet eye care is a vital part of managing overall wellness. So she started her concierge-style practice to provide in-depth, quality care that caters to individual needs. That’s how SALT + LIGHT EYE CARE was born.

At our practice, concierge care means committing to patient-centered service. We want every patient to receive personalized attention so their needs are understood and addressed effectively.

Does SALT + LIGHT EYE CARE Accept Vision Insurance?

We do not accept vision plans. Many insurance plans limit the level of care or the types of products patients can choose from. In order to provide in-depth, personalized care, we choose to put the power back in our patients’ hands with our concierge style.

We do work with some medical plans such as BCBS and Presbyterian for medical exams such as dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

When you visit us for eye care services or products, you can still submit your insurance provider, but payment is due at the time of service. As a result, you gain more access to quality service and products without jumping through hoops or red tape. The care you need comes first.

Dr. Monte is a proud New Mexican. She graduated from Belen High School and obtained a degree in Biology and Psychology at the University of New Mexico.

She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. She fulfilled her residency at the Veteran’s Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.

She enjoys serving her community and specializes in comprehensive eye care, dry eye, and ocular disease (glaucoma, macular degeneration, etc.).
